Well, it's been nearly two weeks now. I guess I have to say something.
Robert's last semester at VT ended in December. So he wasn't there. Although if he had been there, he would have seen the aftermath up close and personal as a member of the rescue squad.
Theresa was not on campus. Some of you might know that she's working at Walt Disney World in Florida. She's in the college program and is taking classes there and online while working at the Mission Space ride in EPCOT.
In addition to not being on campus, none of their immediate friends were killed or injured. I do know that one of the guys she works with knew Ryan Clark, the RA who was one of the first two killed. Her friend is in the band as was Ryan.
We actually have a very slim connection to him as well: he was from Martinez GA. We lived in Martinez when I as at Fort Gordon in 1989 for my Officer's Advanced course. Yes, it's a
very slim connection, but it does show that we're never too far removed from each other.
Please pray for the souls of those killed.
